Prayers For Niece

Please say a prayer for my oldest niece, Ashley. She is almost 22 years old, and has gone through so much in her life, and was last year diagnosed with depression. She takes medication for it, but between her depression and the extremely anxiety-ridden family life she has (things out of her control which directly affect her), there are times when she can hardly cope with it--now being one of those times.

It breaks my heart, because we used to be very close, but in recent years she has wanted to try and 'deal with things like a grown up' and has become a lot more emotionally withdrawn in the past year or two. She used to be in love with God and she would let Him run her life as best as she knew how to let go, but it has been a long time since she's been there. I don't know if she tries to go back to Him or not. She often looks for fulfillment in the wrong place.

Her heart is in the right place, but she's breaking apart from taking on too many other peoples' issues instead of nursing her own wounds. Please, pray for her, as she doesn't know just how fragile she is until she is right on the brink of a breakdown.
