Nunsense has asked me to pass on her Christmas Greetings to all of Phatmass, especially those in Vocation Station. She said her Carmelite Monastery recently had a Solemn Profession and she hopes to be able to email some photos which I will post online if possible. In the meantime, she said you will have to make do with this webcam photo of her as a postulant. She also said that she must hold the record for the longest Carmelite postulancy in history because this is her fourth attempt at Carmel.

She sends her prayers for everyone and asks for your continued prayers for her. She is very happy and at peace, and wishes the Joy and Peace of this season of Our Lord's birth on everyone. :nunpray:

She looks relaxed and happy. I pray that her vocation to this Carmel is the final step. It must be so difficult to keep trying, but nunsense is the epitome of perseverance. God bless her. :)

Relay our Christmas wishes to her, please - peace, quiet, joy, prayer. Tell her I'm gonna learn a prayer and say it for her.

And thanks to you for posting her report.

it is wonderful to know she is happy, her perseverance proves how deeply devoted she is to following our Lord.

May He continue to walk with her.

She does indeed look beautiful and very happy! She remains in my daily prayers and may this fourth attempt prove THE attempt and successful and fulfill her and her hopes. A joyous Christmas to Nunsense and to all and every blessing.

I received these via email with the following explanation.

[i]"The photos are taken by a sister on our side of the grille, so it's hard to see much of what is happening in the chapel but there were many photos and a video being taken from the chapel side as well, and a reporter from the Catholic newspaper. There were 14 priests, the Archbishop officiated, the Sister who was being Solemnly Professed had her family from interstate and overseas, many friends, and the choir from her parish church. She is sitting on the chapel side of the grille with the Prioress sitting at her right and these photos are after she has received her black veil and is sitting down for the rest of the Mass. It was a lovely and moving ceremony and afterwards the Archbishop came to visit with us briefly. The Sister spent most of the day in the parlor with her well wishers, but we had a party in the cloister as well. No bride could have looked more beautiful or been happier on her wedding day."

"PS - I'm the one in the brown veil of course - my best angle, from the back - lol!"

Note: I will pass on your good wishes to her next time I write. I don't read or post here myself but if she sends me anything that she wants conveyed I will do so.
