I currently read the Bible on a three-year schedule. I am a couple months behind at the moment because of corneal transplant surgery earlier this year, but I should be caught up by year end. I have not read the catechism all the way through yet. I made it to numbered paragraph 290 or so. I should get back into it. I read teh Bible through cover-to-cover a couple times back when I was a teenaged fundamentalist.

My favourite Biblical pasage would be Sirach 6:5-17. We sa the full Benedictine horarium here, so I go therough the entire psalter and some additional canticles each week. Different verses or sections of the psalms jump out at me at different times.

everytime i watch Mother Angelica holding/reading her Bible, I am inspired to take up my Bible and read.
