thessalonian
So last night I was listening to one of the evening national news programs. Don't recall which one. They interviewed this scientist who did some studies on monkeys. This guy was seeing "moral" behavior in monkeys and so his conclusion was "this shows there is no God". Huh. Of course the news reporter left it unchallenged. The very fact that there was a monkey standing in front of them at all, supposedly coming from nothing or some ameaba in a primordial soup should have refuted such nonsense. The point he made was that we don't need God to be moral because monkeys have no god and they can do moral things. Yet if God made the monkey and God made man we would expect that we could see some "morality" in a monkey. Christian doctrine does not say man and monkey are void of morality without God. Romans 2:4-8 says the laws of God are written on all men's hearts. Sad thing is that so many people listening to the news these days don't know romans. They don't know Christian doctrine and about original sin and so this guy, a scientist, comes along and attempts to destroy their faith, unchallenged by anyone really. On national news with millions watching. Sad. Very sad. Just venting. thx. Now back to your regularly posted pro-catholic pro-God. website. CatherineM
When they start throwing monkey stuff at us, that just means we've got them in a corner, and they are desperate.
rkwright
haha I would love to be an atheist scientist. You get to start with any premise and conclude that there is no God. Last night I observed morality in my dog when she ate her brothers food, and then she looked sad when I disciplined her :. There is no God! rhetoricfemme
My dog used to put a tuft of her fur into our other dog's water and food dish just so she wouldn't want to eat it. Then the same dog would ruin her own food and water so there'd be no alternative for our other dog to turn to. Then she was sad when she realized her food and water were gross. I call that God's awesome sense of humor and puppy revenge. I don't tend to hate the news (even when it's dumb) so much as I am disappointed with the attitudes behind most comments toward the news. Hinter dem Horizont
When they start throwing monkey stuff at us, that just means we've got them in a corner, and they are desperate.
My thoughts exactly. They'll try and find anything to defend their atheistic beliefs. Like the existence of "evil" proves that God does not exist. Which is an absolutely idiotic argument. Humans were the ones that created evil. We have a will which means we can choose to do evil or to not do evil.
