CatherineM
I've got an exam in Medieval Church History on the 7th, and two final exams on the 15th, History and Bioethics. Don't know why we need two tests in two weeks in history, but whatever.

penguin31
I'm done with all courses for the semester, except for one: Math. And rather than one massive exam at the end, the professor has decided to go in a different direction: Three exams next week, the week before Finals Week itself: One on Monday, another on Wednesday, another on Friday. Exam 1 in the Gauntlet covers material the previous exam. Exam 2 in the Gauntlet is the cumulative portion of the exam. Exam 3 in the Gauntlet? A bonus, optional exam that can raise your grade by up to 10% but can't lower it.
Christie_M
I plan to study, study, study! I'm so close to good grades in all my classes, that if I just ace the Final (with in the next two weeks...), it would be a huge lift in my GPA. I have Current U.S. history, ASL 102, and Math...and 2 days inbetween each final to study. so nervous.

LaPetiteSoeur
Urgh....finals. Mine are really late. If I can do well on my Calc, no more math for me EVER. So awesome. Novenas to St. John Newman start almost immediately so I will get an A in Art History and French. Whew! Bonne chance to all y'all!

Luigi
Suggestion - Caluclate your grades (in each class) to date, and run some variables on the final exam. In my experience, most finals won't make or break a grade unless you're sort of borderline in the first place. If you've got a solid B, a dynamite final still might not get you up to an A nor will a lousy final drop you to a C. That's why some profs make finals optional for students with certain grades. In other words, run the numbers, and if you're solid at whatever your grade is, don't sweat the final too much. (Caveat: Advice may not apply to final projects.) BG45
Hmm... *thinks* This Monday I have homework to turn in and a review session in Stats, my worst subject. Next Monday I have my stats final, worth 40% of my grade, if I get below a B I fail the class because in at this level "The C is the gentleman's F" as one prof loves putting it. My midterm was a low pass, my homeworks have all been good, I just totally freak out when I have to remember over a dozen sub-steps to write out to justify why I'm doing the easy enough math. This Tuesday I have my final Theory class of the semester, which we'll just be discussing things and our prepared questions for one another. I've already turned in my final paper relating anomie on Muslim immigrants targeting the Danish newspaper that printed the Mohammed cartoons. No final in Theory. This Wednesday I have a presentation of a research proposal I've been working on, then next Wednesday the final draft of the Proposal is do (40% of my grade) and my comprehensive final happens (40% of my grade). I foresee much studying and final tweaking of that proposal! Also unrelated to school, I have an Advent Retreat on this coming Friday night. Gregorius
Well, it's three in the morning where I am, I'm all alone in the student lounge wearing my sunday best, and I'm procrastinating on getting my work done for the next two weeks: In about three hours I get ready to brave the cold and head to Mass and Matins, followed by A test in Logic covering material I still don't know how to handle followed by Trudging back to chapel then my room fighting the urge to go to bed in order to edit four different Spanish essays followed by meeting a study group to prepare a backboard describing a semester-lonng research project on the Art-Gallery theorem (which I still can't explain well) skipping lunch to get to class followed by Preparing a powerpoint for a presentation on work due Tuesday followed by band reherarsal for a huge pep ralley Thursday followed by Adoration where I need to pretend I don't have a bajillion things coming up in order to devote quality time to Our Lord, followed by Important KoC meeting where we- oh wait, I need to e-mail the Grand Knight about my being able to help with that rally and that transfer, followed by Chapel where hopefully I can say vespers/rosary/compline afterward and get enough sleep for the next day where I get up early for Matins, followed by finishing the math homework I didn't do earlier followed by presentation that I prepared for yesterday followed by writing three short one-page papers in Spanish describing different Spanish Masses i went to followed by Solemn Mass complete with smells and bells followed by Write a two page paper based on research to follow up that presentation followed by Solemn Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary (goodness, why are these college liturgies so late at night?) where assuming I don't have to stay up again I can get some sleep for Mass/Matins followed by early classes followed by writing one-page reflection paper on that research project I didn't do quite enough research for followed by shoot I'm probably forgetting something or trying to make up for things above I didn't do before followed by Band rehearsal again followed by meeting of Militia Immaculata where I'll most likely forget the statue of Mary where I'll have to rush back and forth through the cold to get it followed by Bible Study which I might as well skip considering I only remember having time to go to one session this semester followed by most likely more work which requires staying up followed by Mass in Spanish/Matins followed by visiting a friend before break starts followed by class which includes presentation on that backboard which hopefully I was wise enough to do more research on followed by one more reflection paper to write (or did I already write it?) followed by Anime club's Invader Zim Christmas party which as the club's esteemed president I am required to attend, followed by wait, wait, go back, I just remembered I have to file an end-of-year report for my club, so when I figure out when that's due I next have to go to That epic pep-rally we've been preparing for which runs late into the night followed by oh my goodness two days have passed it's friday morning already my dear sweet Mother Mary Most Holy I love you very much, I consecrated myself to you earlier this week please fulfill your end of the bargain and take me from my misery here to your divine Son in heaven right now followed by Early Morning Mass/Matins followed by Early classes followed by make sure those three papers were done followed by take a visit to a nursing home for a few hours as the residents are good people and my club is obligated to go followed by will I even have time to go with campus ministry to party with the nearby convent where there will be lots of caroling and baked goods followed by me walking into my room and collapsing (hopefully on my bed) from exhaustion followed by oh snap it's 11:45 on Saturday I need to get to noon Mass at the top of the mountain where once there with God I'm all like oh yeah there's an assingment I didn't mention above that I forgot sorry I'll do better. And I'll be craming the rest of the weekend, stopping for the occasional office/Mass, meal, and bathroom break, cause I got FINALS. ONE EVERY DAY. IN THE EARLY MORNING. In that time I have to file that end-of-year report, complete the RA application, take the survey, and pack up to go home. When that Friday comes where all finals are done, and my family picks me up, do I get to go home and go late-night caroling while riding through a gorgeous light-show with the Parish youth group? You bet your breviary that I can't. I'm on a committee that plans an annual religious retreat for the BSA in the Archdiocese, and I have to study some scripture to be prepared for the meeting that was conveniently rescheduled for that night, and possibly discussing some way of having me smuggled out to Cleer Creek, OK. At least I'll get a dinner with friends out of it. Well, it WAS three in the morning where I am, I'm all alone in the student lounge wearing my Sunday best, and I'm not any closer to getting my work done. I'll just mosey along now...
