I'm thankful for my family
for the Dominican Sisters of Mary coming down to Texas and taking root right in my own backyard...
for the job I have, only 'cos it pays the bills
for my dad, because he can be a lot sicker than he is, and I'm just so thankful that he is in pretty good shape at 85...
for my pet goat millie, my dog leia, my cat rascal
for my dependable honda, "Blue"
for having the skills to play a mean church organ
for BOB!
...for the few friends i have out in the world, and for the many friends i have in convents all over the world...

I am grateful to him who has strengthened me, Christ Jesus our Lord, because he considered me trustworthy in appointing me to the ministry. I was once a blasphemer and a persecutor and an arrogant man, but I have been mercifully treated because I acted out of ignorance in my unbelief. Indeed, the grace of our Lord has been abundant, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. This saying is trustworthy and deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. Of these I am the foremost. But for that reason I was mercifully treated, so that in me, as the foremost, Christ Jesus might display all his patience as an example for those who would come to believe in him for everlasting life. To the king of ages, incorruptible, invisible, the only God, honor and glory forever and ever. Amen. ~ Timothy 1:12-17

I am thankful for my family and for this time that I get to spend with them.

I am thankful for my job and for the people that I serve.

I am thankful for my generous benefactors who help and continue to help me follow my vocation.

I am thankful for my best friend, whom God has given me as a true spiritual companion.

I am thankful for my education and my time at the Mount, for all those whom I met at the Mount.

I am thankful that my dad is still alive, despite doctors saying he should die by 30, then by 35, 40... he's now turning 50.

I am thankful that my parents are still allowing me to stay in their house without paying rent even though I'm 27. I really wished I had my own job and my own apartment, but prayers are not ceasing and I hope to be employed again in the next few months.

I am also thankful for my little part-time money maker working for ChaCha. I've earned quite a bit and apparently, it's hard to get approved because of their test. I'm so glad to be able to do something to make a little extra money.
