MarcBarnes
So I understand it to mean God is everywhere, my question is a little more complex. If God is outside of time (that is to say, eternal) by virtue of being outside the universe (because he created it) then how do we reconcile those things with God being present within the universe? When we say he is everywhere what exactly do we mean?
Theoketos
Easily reconciled if you read a little Thomistic Natural Theology. Here are some things to keep in mind. Time = measure of change Change = reduction of potentiality to act God = Perfect Perfect = pure act Perfection = no changing No Change = No Time And as I understand it God's omnipresence has to do with him sustaining or causing our being and causing our existence. God is in all things among all things and all things came to be through him.
