At the conclusion the plates returned to a position where the abyss' were reformed and the water level dropped to expose the dry land. Do you realise what you are saying? What would be the consequence of such a catastrophic event when a comparatively minor one has the potential to cause total extinction of all of life for numerous X number of years?
In Genesis where was God while Adam was being tempted and then later during the cool of the afternoon God was walking in the garden!!!... Well really? And God had said to Adam that if he ate the forbidden fruit he would surely die, but Adam didn't die. Does God lie? No, God was giving a short answer to something much more complex. I think you will find that most of the OT is a code for something very complex. You cannot go into a library and look at titles and know the knowledge of the library, you have to actually read the books to understand the titles. This is the error of numerous people. Pick out some random sentences and adapt them to your own desires. Haven't read all the post, but wanted to respond quickly to the point about Abraham & Sarah, since you brought it up. Their union was not immoral. They were unitive, and procreative. While they did not conceive until they were much older, their earlier acts of intercourse were still procreative because they did not seek to thwart their fertility. Obviously not every act of intercourse will result in conception, since a woman is not fertile at all times and even when she is conception is not a guarantee. That doesn't make such intercourse immoral since nothing is done to thwart the unitive or procreative aspects of sex.
