CatherineM
The Republicans need a champion to take the progress they made in the last election into 2012. I agree that Palin is probably not the best choice for that role.
Brother Adam
I like Sarah Palin, but I do not think she can win a presidency. Would I vote for her against 99% of her democrat rivals? Yes, of course, but I still do not think she can win.

Micah
I agree, Sarah Palin is wayy too controversial a figure to pull off an election. I'm also starting to wonder, as an outsider looking in, whether these presidential candidates (Obama, Hilary, Palin) are more a product of novelty. Americans finally decided they could vote in women and black people, so now it's all the rage. American elections are like ultimate entertainment! MithLuin
I do not think that reality TV personalities make good candidates for president of the US. If she had been serious about politics, she would have (at the very least) finished out her term as governor of Alaska. She did not, and so I do not take her seriously. Now, I do agree that the Republicans need a leader. I'm just not sure who that leader should be. I kinda hate American politics.
CatherineM
I just wish we could elect someone with at least a room temperature IQ. Problem is that quality people no longer want the office.
eustace scrubb
Palin disturbs me for a lot of reasons, some of which were already gotten into. Obama is a sellout (especially on the indefinite detention and wiretapping issues...) and the people who voted him in were disappointed enough by him that they stayed home during the elections, while an energized Republican base came out in droves. I'm told that polls have showed that before and after the election indicated dissatisfaction with the Republicans. If that's true, then that would support the statement I just made. Aside from hoping Palin isn't elected and that the Republican Congress doesn't remove tax support for things we obviously need (firefighters, hospitals, roads, etc), I really don't care a whole lot about politics anymore. eustace scrubb
Yeah, the choices are terrible... Who was that guy from NC who lost to Obama in the primaries in '08? Dude reminded me of a vacuum cleaner salesman. That mormon guy who is/was? the governor of Massachusetts, who was constantly bickering with McCain in '08 was really uptight and irritable. Dennis Kucinich from Ohio believes in something called "spirit energy", which he gave a speech on while in office. And that former governor of Arkansas comes off more like Mr. Rogers than a president...

StMichael
I would vote for Palin over any of the progressives/ socialists currently under the Republican name (Huckabee, Romney, etc.). I would love for Thaddeus McCotter to run. Thus far our choices are not great.
