Thijs
It was so beautiful. I watched the few video selections again that they had posted on the oprah site. I must say though, avoid reading the comments below on the oprah site!!.... It makes me heart sink that some people are so devoid of the love of Jesus. I have to hold myself back from leaving my two sense... Thank the Lord i don't have a user name for the oprah site, but considering i have only watched her show twice in the past year (both DSMME episodes), i think i am safe for not getting a user name... I guess we just need to pray for those people who saw the episode and have such cold hearts towards the Church and above all, our Lord.. ohh there were a few comments saying, "isn't that polygamy"....We cannot put God love in human terms. Okay, i am done or i will start to rant! God Bless all and i hope those who didn't see it get a chance to view it!
I have a suggestion, why don't we post something positive, something Catholic, something uplifting there in Oprah. Let's drown the those negative comments with something good. Make them feel that we got numbers. It might have two effects: more people might be interested to watch it and research more something about it (might be even bring some closer to the Church this Christmas) and make a statement that we Catholics are not apathetic. We like what Oprah did. Who knows? She might make something more like this in the future since it drives viewers. It's numbers game. 20 comments counts and we need not even reply to those who criticize it. a simple comment as "Amazing" will do

I was just on the verge of catechizing these people, but i think you are right now this one. We have a voice, we should use it and affirm oprah for putting together a good second half of the show with the sisters!

MithLuin
There are a few clips on Oprah's site. I imagine that if it's put up on youtube, they'll have to take it down because of copyright. The Aspirants arrive Vows Ceremony Reception afterward Comment from Parents You have to create a username for Oprah's site to leave a comment (or even to 'like' a positive comment that has already been made), but that's probably not difficult. Creating positive feedback for the show is probably more important than correcting a Jehovah's Witness who is posting nonsense. One thing that bothered me was that they were obviously emphasizing the marriage/bride-of-Christ side of things just to point out how weird it was. But, I was glad that they let the people speak for themselves, and weren't overtly insulting about it. The marriage supper of the Lamb isn't something that makes much sense to people in the context of this life, honestly. Sarah147
They just had to put in about no sex, no makeup, etc. Funny how the world looks at it like "look at all you WON'T have" and the Faithful look at all we receive! It's not depriving but fullfilling and beautiful!
