Mikolbe Has Not Called Me

MIKolbe hasn't called me, but I figure he's busy. However, his 2-year old daughter Addie calls me a lot, and keeps me up-to-date on the scoop. I thoroughly enjoy hearing the point of view of an intelligent 2-year old. It's always honest and fun, and is sometimes surprisingly insightful.

Hmmm. I did wonder when Addie called me a "chump." But, on the other hand, 2-year olds are notorious for repeating in public, things said in private by their parents, and repeating them at exactly the wrong place and time.

Micah, I like you, but MIKolbe is absolutely right. When MIKolbe calls someone a "chump," it's funny. When you call someone a "chump," it's not funny.

Everyone has to find their own "schtick" and calling someone a "chump" just doesn't work for you. You need to find your own style of being funny.

This is not meant to be an insult. If I called someone a "chump," it wouldn't be funny, either. It's just not "me." And, it's not "you."

I have no idea where you got Hamlet out of all that. Must be the drugs.

BTW, Hamlet either has a REALLY bad case of dandruff, or someone is using hosts in a totally irreverent manner. (I will give the benefit of the doubt that the hosts have not been consecrated.) Geez--Even seven or eight months ago, I wouldn't have looked at those white disks and said, "Those look like hosts."

Still, "chump" is MIKolbe's word, even if you meant something different than he does (not that I could make any sense out of your explanation). Better to "find a word of your own." (That sounds like the theme of a ballad in some bad Broadway musical.)
