Yes, it is sad that Damiano is carrying on a conversation with himself, and a rather boring one at that.

I don't know what it is, but the formatting of his posts pretty much forces my eyes to skip right to the bottom. I don't think I could read a post all the way through if I tried.

It also does not help that he tends to speak in a rather Pelagianist manner.

catholiccrusader, why bother posting that? if the quote is good i dont understand the problem. anwyays i receive salavtion through faith in jesus, as well as living out the ten commandments and going to confession and living out the sacraments. communion, etc. i personally find confessino to be the most salvation affirming of anything though.

Faith and Works bestow Grace.

We are saved because Jesus died for us, and no other.

Faith is a gift from God.
We cannot work our way to Heaven, but doing good works proves that we are living the way Christ wants us to.

St. Matt 16:27 For the Son of Man will come with his angels in his Father's glory, and then he will repay everyone according to his conduct.

2 Corin 11:15
So it is not strange that his ministers also masquerade as ministers of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds.

Eph 4:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not from you; it is the gift of God;
9 it is not from works, so no one may boast.
10 For we are his handiwork, created in Christ Jesus for the good works that God has prepared in advance, that we should live in them.

By wanting to do and doing evil works we reject Christ.

I hope that helps explain it better.

Look at all the things that you say YOU must do in order to be saved. Funny, and you accuse Catholics of teaching a form of salvation by human effort and choice. :D

I especially like your comment, "THE CHOICE IS YOURS ALONE TO MAKE," which is perhaps the most Pelagian comment I have ever seen posted here at Phatmass.

The question is: ‘How do you receive the grace of salvation? Again, the question is – How do you receive...? (if ever you have it).

Because I want to know 'How do you receive it’ too '. Why? Is there something wrong if ever you will share it?

I don't recall offering my own position, actually.

*["You have to stop arguing with yourself about these things."]

***I am not arguing with myself...I am speaking directly to you. What I am telling you is that you are in danger of perishing in Hell for denying that it is by GRACE through FAITH in the Lord Jesus Christ that saves you [Ephesians 2:8-10]. If you could save yourself by works of the Law---then you would not need a Saviour and Christ died in vain.

I ask that you read your Bible and ask God to make it clear to you. The Word of God is the ONLY authority that you should depend on...for it is the ONLY authority INSPIRED by God [2 Timothy 3:16]...everything else are the doctrines of men and NOT inspired.

*["God grant you many joyful years."]

***Likewise to you.

Damiano
