IgnatiusofLoyola
hey maybe I like pantaloons, and maybe Ill find a girl who likes pantaloons too! you never know
LOL I forgot about that particular fiddler. I couldn't figure out where you'd gotten "pantaloons" from and was picturing you courting a young lady in knee-high trousers with colored stockings, until I remembered the p.a.n.t.s. fidder. Then I had this weird picture in my head of Ward Cleaver in pantaloons. That was a very scary image and I may need to go to bed and hide under the covers until it goes away. BTW, I don't remember ever seeing June Cleaver in shorts or p.a.n.t.s, even though women in the 50's wore them all the time. Capris were particularly popular for awhile. (Most "fashion" is not really new, but is styles simply that have been out of fashion long enough that women have gotten rid of their old capris, or whatever, so they have to buy new ones. Except for me--for some reason I just don't like capris, although I have lovely ankles, if I say so myself.) Enough random ramblings.......I enjoy them, but I know most people don't. IgnatiusofLoyola
hmm, try concentrating your gift with words into a few less lines. Bring it to perfection!!!
You think I'm not trying to write shorter posts? Part of the problem is that when I use fewer words, I get misunderstood, and that hurts. Look at my sig--it's not random. I think at heart I'm an essayist. I think in 1,000-word "segments." I'd become a blogger if I had anything interesting to write about. I think Web boards just aren't my natural way of thinking and talking--I'm in the wrong place. (I don't mean Phatmass specifically--just Web boards in general.) Chat rooms are even worse. I'm not a person who thinks in short thoughts. My natural self is to ponder things and ramble. And, I had a career where I had to write pages and pages a day on very technical stuff that I then "translated" into English. I eventually had to go on sick leave, and then disability when I finally couldn't keep up any longer. I used to be able to literally go months without making a typo, much less a technical error. I am who I am. If you hate my posts, don't read them. Apparently, nobody else does. It's only recently that people have gotten more open about telling me that they don't read my posts, and I'm still getting used to finding that out. Dummy me thought people read them. Note: Yes, I'm totally overreacting and being oversensitive and feeling sorry for myself. But it's been an even more shiitake mushroom week than usual (literally). It started with a couple of inches of sewage in my basement, (yes, THAT kind of sewage) and got worse from there. And, I'm all by myself, with literally no one at all to help me with all the plumbers, clean-up people etc etc that had to be called in. So, cut me some slack. If my posts are too long, don't read them. But, do me a big favor and keep it to yourself. Edited November 14, 2010 by IgnatiusofLoyola
Micah
I foresaw the above. You don't tell girls that their posts are too long. It's like telling her you don't like her new pantaloons. Once I discovered iggy's academic background, I adjusted my post-reading-limit accordingly lol. Writing is like air to some people.

Grace and peace I will no longer bother you. Just remember Wisconsin rules!!!!!!!!!
As a Flatlander, I believe that under Illinois State law, I am not allowed to even believe Wisconsin rules, much less say it out loud. I know some rabid Packers fans, and they have to lead underground lives, always in fear of the Flatlander police. Also, I can't lie, I'm not a huge fan of Wisconsin. It is far from my least favorite state, but I can't pretend it's even in my top 10 favorite states. I will say, however, that the cream puffs at the Wisconsin State Fair totally rule. And, the discount malls at the Illinois border are very good. So, Wisconsin is not without its good points.

Last week I was dating someone and now I'm not because I wouldn't sleep with him, which wouldn't be so bad, except that he's a coworker (thank God only on the weekends) I failed a bio test and I'm behind on my thesis. (which is why I am on phatmass. Lol. ) Oh.. but I just wanted to let you know that I almost always read all of your posts. And now I am very confused because "Chicago's Own Channel 9 Local News" is on... .... Channel 11 in Florida.... O.o

I was keeping my study schedule so well up until these past two hours, and now I'm pretty much burnt.
