Micah
Canadians have great saints...like Bl. (or saint now?) Andre. Canada was my family's homeland...but we left in 1756. Montreal is fun. The train ride in the fall is supposedly really pretty...
Yep, St. Andrew it is Why did they leave, and what nationality were they? Typically it's the other way around, British loyalists moving North from the U.S. into Canada. Unless you're French or Acadian. The Acadians had a rough time of it. Micah
Yep, St. Andrew it is Yep, I'm Acadian!
Acadians have the coolest/saddest history ever. You know the British actually purposely separated families before sending them to concentration camps and to the U.S., and then the U.S. government impoverished them for like another 100 years. I love Acadian history though. It's ridiculously romantic for real life, especially their journey home. There are still Acadian festivals in nova scotia (and the dancers are cute ). My Pa's from Dublin, and my moms Canadian, but I love Acadian history.. Micah
And while I'm at it, I may as well shamelessly promote my university's pipe band whippin the scotch on their own turf. We win it just about every year at Glasgow. Simon Fraser world champs; Go Field Marshall! My mom lives in Wales right now, and I really wanted to head over there and attend Dublin college, but I hear it's a pretty bad atmosphere for immigrants, even immigrants with family. Ed Normile
Micah, you should have used some punctuation in the title of this thread. Blah, Blah, Blah. Now ain't that better? Or you could have even stretched it out for clarity , Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah ! Get with it Micah, do not forget your punctuation. ed
