Micah
So, tonight I decided not to go out partying, as invited and promised and rain chequed. Instead, I cracked open the books to get some headway done on my papers, two of which are due the following week. But when I reviewed some of my draft notes from last weekend, I realized that I must have been either A. lacking sleep, B. playing a joke on myself, or C. completely high. I mean I cannot believe this is what I wrote... Anyways, I went over my assignment all over again and redid everything with such grace, style, and charisma of prose that I'm treating myself to a glass of wine. Oh, and I was in such a writey flightey mood that I composed a poem for you phatties. I feel like sushi, california rolls and dynamite rolls and tuna sashimi with spicy sauce, mmmmmmm... And chocolate pocky sticks! To the fridge! Micah
Well, since this thread is turning into a personal dedication to my school-life in general, I may as well dispense that I've decided to apply for law school once I finish my undergraduate degree, roughly two semesters from now. When I told my family that I was changing my major from biology -- from which they assumed I would naturally progress into medicine -- to history, I think there may have been a little disappointment on their part. My suspicions were confirmed tonight when I broke the news that I would begin studying for the Lsat and apply to UBC Law next year. But hey, I can't hold it against them; they just want the best for me and my maybe possibly future family. So, here's to another year of hard work followed by 3 more. If I don't go then I'll just be another undergraduate without a job. At least with a degree in law I can make enough to buy a house and sit in comfy chairs all day. [/quote] Yeah, but you don't make that money until you spend years upon years paying off an insane amount of debt. Don't mind me, I'm just suffering from panic induced by the looming cumulative finals I have rapidly approaching. Turns out you get taught a lot of information in 2 1/2 years, and you retain a lot less than they teach!

LaPetiteSoeur
Canadians have great saints...like Bl. (or saint now?) Andre. Canada was my family's homeland...but we left in 1756. Montreal is fun. The train ride in the fall is supposedly really pretty...
