TeresaBenedicta
I suffer from headaches as well, along with pain on the right side of my face, sometimes on the whole right side of my body. I've had a cat scan and an MRI. They didn't find anything unusual except for a deviated septum--which they said was common and probably not the cause. I haven't been back for over a year and my symptoms still remain. I decided to just live with it. Maybe I'll go back again once my insurance deductible renews. I get all kinds of headaches. Ones that start behind my eyes. Dull headaches that just linger for days in the back of my head just above my neck. Sudden headaches that just show up whenever I do a strenous exercise. Etc. Ask for an MRI. They probably won't find anything, but maybe it'll help ease any hidden stress you might be feeling for not knowing whether or not it's something serious.
I think that's what I'm going to do. I'm gonna see another doctor next week and see about an MRI, just to eliminate the serious possibilities. Then I can go about figuring out how to deal with the headaches.

That was another thing that made me upset. The nurse, super nice, took my blood pressure, and noted that it was unusually high for me. But he, of course, said nothing about it. Anastasia13
I wish I had other advice. The only thing I know about headaches is that I could not live in a world without Bengay and Excedrin.

How do you do it?
Eye strain, wipe a very light amount right under your eyebrow. Neck tension creeping up back of head, put a tiny bit of it on your finger, part your hair near the hairline slightly with your other hand and blend into scalp with other hand. Most significantly, I get a spasm on the back of my shoulder that creeps up my neck. I have to treat that spot before it gets bad or then I get tension going up my neck. I use Bengay or a chemically related but more effective pain patch to stop the spasm.
I hope you get better. If it is not something serious, I would try eating healthier, like all fruit in the morning. Drink more water like when you first wake up drink a huge amount to get immediately hydrated. And do Eastern style exercises like the tibetan rites. kafka
hmm I just read through the thread. It could be the reading aspect of your life. Maybe take breaks in between reading. I never read for more than a half an hour at a time.
bmb144
All I can say is please make sure they check your blood pressure correctly and it can cause more headaches due to spikes in it than anything else.
Actually, that's a good point, not just for the eye's sake, but also because we fall into postures that we don't even realize are putting stress on our muscles. Lots of reading or computer work could be posturally stressful, and cause headaches, even without neck pain.
