Jay and Silent Bob as Prophets? a 13th Apostle? Jesus being black? God being black? GOD DOESNT HAVE A BODY! urgh sry i veimatly dislike this movie (Dogma) but i dont think that this new movie will be like that because its not the same kinda thing

crusader.....your idea is like this

what if you see a pretty girl wearing some reavealing clothing......her intention might not be to provoke lustful thoughts but it doesnt stop it from happening.....same thing here, im sure it wasnt their intention of making fun of Christians but the fact is that it happens

will not be viewing this one
i dont think that it is all that bad both Mandy Moore and Mac Culkin are Catholic and have both said that they would not do something that would go against their faith. so with that in mind i will go to see it
Well, apparently Mandy Moore said that there is a lot of things about the Catholicism that she disagrees with.

And I could'nt even finish watching Dogma, because of the anti-Catholcism.

To quote the director:

"oh, end of the week and i'm pretty beat but i wanted to drop you a quick line to answer some of your questions. so, jena malone is playing the pregnant girl, "mary." mandy moore is playing the antagonist, "hilary faye." mac plays hilary faye's crippled younger brother, eva amurri (susan sarandon's daughter) plays the only jewish girl at the school...who else, oh yeah, heather matarazzo (welcome to the dollhouse) plays the hilary faye wanna-be....patrick fugit plays the cool christian guy...mary louise plays jena's mom and martin donovan plays the school pastor. we're playing the film very straight- it's not all about christian bashing...it's about thinking before you do things. it's darkly funny and sweet...i think. the cast starts arriving on monday and then we're off to the races. i can't wait. oh yeah, the film is really centered in the whole "jesus rocks!" movement."

Reading about the movie made me think that the trailer makes it out to be a different movie than it is. The story seems to be about actual faith rather than mocking it. It does make fun of Christian hypocrites. If you arent a hypocrite then they arent making fun of you or your faith!
