when you are at work daydreaming about religious names and then wonder "what is the feast day for that?". And then you pull up Catholic websites, which are promptly minimized anytime a co-worker walks into the room. Not that I've done/am doing that.

I had PM up at my desk yesterday. I was sitting at a table working with a someone and my coworker sat down at my desk and I got really nervous. It's already awkward enough when I explain that I spent my vacation time in a convent.

You start typing 'vocation' whenever you type 'vo'

You can scare your friends by recognizing habits of certain orders.

You used to wear a towel on your head and pretend to be a sister...and sometimes you still do.

...

You get those looks from sisters.

People mistake you for a nun even when you're in street clothes.
I have gotten mistaken for being a nun while I'm wearing secular clothes often!! So funny.

... when your friends have nicknamed you "Sister" !
This has happened to me multiple times.

When you start to secretly pick and write out your desired religious name (like a teenager doodling Mrs. so and so)
I did this before I entered the convent and re-write my religious name accidentally sometimes while I'm waiting to re-enter next year! One time I answered the phone at my office and said, "Hello, this is Sr. Mary Elizabeth speaking...um, I mean, sorry. Let me start over." I can't wait until I'm a novice again next year and can receive the beauty of my religious name again!

when you dream of the day you get all your hair cut off and look like a boy

(because we all know what comes next :nun: )

So true!

When, during the bouquet toss at a wedding, friends try to drag you out to catch it and you protest saying, "I'm not single!".....then someone you know says, "yeah she's engaged to Jesus!"
hahaha! :) This happened to me several times! I totally understand!

You know you're a future sister when you throw a towel over you're head and think.."WOW I look like a sister...I wonder.." :)

Or if you pray to God and get a vocation to be a sister... that's what most regular people do... but you might not be regular in that way.... ;)
