dentarthurdent95
Next to Star Trek: The Next Generation anyways. There are some unnecessary parts with Inara, but other than that it is brilliantly written and acted. To bad FOX is the dumbest network ever and finds a sadistic pleasure in canceling great shows, such as Arrested Development.
Seven77
I think Stargate was better than this. I watched the movie Serenity which was based on the series-- what a pathetic excuse for a TV movie… and I think that it was even released in theaters! lol. well if I have to say something nice about it–-Gina Torres and Morena Baccarin
Jesus_lol
man you have to watch the full series before you see serenity. the series is definitely better. yup Fox is probably the stupidest network ever.

DemonSlayer
I didn't like the movie, but for some reason, I really enjoyed watching Fireflly, although I'm not sure why. Edited October 22, 2010 by DemonSlayer
rhetoricfemme
Firefly made me very happy, and Serenity made me die inside (though was still great). But I was happy that the fans cared enough about the show after it was canceled for a movie to be made.

MithLuin
Saw Serenity; have not watched Firefly. Serenity was okay, though I have to admit that I was surprised by how gory it was. I had only heard of the series/movie secondhand, and mostly people quoted the funny parts. I am generally not a fan of 'little girl is an awesome brawl fighter.' I mean, I can accept 'little girl is great with a sword/gun,' but it's hard to swallow some of these scenarios. But other than that, it was alright. MithLuin
Being awesome at hand-to-hand combat? Yes. Fezzik, who specialized in 'fighting gangs for local charities' makes sense - he was a giant. Some little girl mopping the floor with hordes of guys? Ummm...I realize skill will help with that, but it only takes you so far. At some point, size/strength *do* matter. Small, inhumanly fast and powerful.
