I think dresses and skirts bring out the beauty of women in a special way, and that is not to go against women who find many practical reasons for pants. besides women have always had a better fashion sense then most men i know, i think men are better off listening to women on what to wear then the other way around... I'm at least 1/4 to 1/3 Scottish, and my father, in particular, looks very Scottish. Scottish accents make me swoon (although, I confess, it takes me a few days in Scotland to understand what they are saying). No matter. Whatever someone wears, even a burkha, it's going to make someone else swoon. Aside from women (and men) dressed in clothes that more properly belong in a brothel (not that I've ever been in a brothel), every woman (and man) needs to decide for themselves what makes them feel good, what is comfortable, what fits their budget, what fits their butt, and what fits the expectations and weather conditions of their community. What's right for me might be totally wrong for someone else. I make the best decision I can, and otherwise, try my best (sometimes failing) to mind my own business, and let other people be themselves. Let there be peace on earth, and let it begin with my jeans and top, covered by a sweater and heavy jacket in winter, with sandals in the summer and snow boots in the winter. When the occasion calls for a skirt, I wear a skirt. Otherwise, as long as I feed them, my cats could care less what I wear. Im sure theres a handsome, bearded, kilt wearing, Sean Connery type Scotsman out there for you. If God doesnt want me waring a skirt full time in a convent Id be very fine with a husband who does, beard is optional. So if you find that Sean Connery type let me know if he knows any young men like this. Even though he is older, I still think Sean Connery is one of the most attractive men alive. In addition to the 1/4 to 1/3 Scottish on my father's side, my grandmother was born in England, so I am 1/4 English (the other 1/4 is Estonian, which accounts for the fact I look like a mixture of English and Scandinavian, including very light skin and blue eyes). I didn't get too much of the Scottish except the eyebrows. I definitely am in the wrong country. English accents also make me swoon. No matter that Englishmen tend to have pasty skin, bad teeth, and (with some notable exceptions) are not the most attractive race. If I close my eyes, I am in love. I am VERY jealous of L-C moving to England. However, I fear that the minute some man of appropriate age with pasty skin and bad teeth spoke to me kindly, I'd be gone from the convent in a second. If I were in Scotland, I might think too much about what was (or wasn't) under the kilt. (There must be something in the air today, I am unusually susceptible.) We wears his regimental kilt from the Gordon Highlanders. So he wore his kilt to our wedding. My husband didn't though. I told him that he'd look like Santa Claus in drag.
