eagle_eye222001
The restful perch of orthodoxy. Because this is one of the few orthodox refuges for the persecuted Catholic. Because being among faithful Catholics is a rarity, and they can be hard to find in the average Catholic communities. Because I wonder sometimes if there are any faithful young adult Catholics left because they sure as heck don't seem to be where I reside... Because I am a broken person like everyone else, and it's refreshing to be in an atmosphere of imperfect people dedicated to confessing their sins, and living the traditional and established faith one day at a time. Because the Catholic message has been lost; and it is time for the New Evangelization.
Christa
I come because I am a woman, a Catholic, and know my Church can be a harlot (Dorothy Day, the saint who ought to be, said it, not me). Yet she is still my mother. I thrive in the knowledge and sense that have saved my life (I am not an addict, a liar or a whore), as in prayer from family and friends. I know the sense of God in silence, and wish the Bishops could follow. Catholicism doesn't mean Republican, violence or hate. It doesn't mean celibate men can understand abortion, birth control or fate. Make men out of all men, teach them to respect women as equals, it's what Jesus did. Much more we have to create, without lying, violence and hate.

FutureSister2009
I joined Phatmass last Lent as a way of holding me over without Facebook. But I gained so much more from it than I ever thought possible. I am comfortable with sharing my journey of Faith on here and finding God's Will for me. Everyone has been so wonderful and supportive. This website is a blessing. And when I share prayer intentions, I know everyone will do their part in praying for me and we all pray for each other.
