Clare~Therese
This gives me a lot to think about too. Funnily enough I just started reading that book today on my iPod. It's made me almost cry twice already. I found it mentioned on a Catholic blog, and then it showed up here. So I guess that question is hounding me too. And maybe being hounded by that question is a good thing, because it makes us think a lot, and think hard and deep.
Era Might
Quo Vadis were the words supposedly asked to St. Peter by Jesus as Peter was attempting to flee Nero's persecution of Christians in 64 AD.
I love St. Peter and I love the Quo Vadis story, but I think it's the other way around. I think St. Peter asked Christ "Quo Vadis," and when Christ said he was going to Rome to be crucified, St. Peter turned around and went to his martyrdom. I have heard it, "Quo Vadis Domine?" "Where are you going, Lord?" (and yah, i'm probably getting the Latin wrong. whateves)

MithLuin
Wo gehen zie? (Hehe, considering the current pope is German ) De donde vas? (Viva el Papa! Viva!) There was a group of Londoners at WYD called 'Quo Vadis?' They were supposed to be the discernment group, but they were also the cheapest available group, so they had a mix of people with them. Great folks, though not all of them were able to attend the papal mass . I...am going to Ethiopia in January. I'll follow God where I can, but it's hard to know sometimes. 'Come, follow me,' isn't as easy as it sounds, since his path leads to the Cross. Sometimes, I think I don't want to know.
Amppax
Great question for me to think about as I start college. Right now, I have no clue, except that the immediate concern is to get everything packed. Thanks DtA!
Seven77
Amesome book. A must read for every Roman Catholic. I love every word that Sienkiewicz has Peter and Paul say. Incidentally, a convert at the end of the narrative reminds me of Hasan.
