Indwelling Trinity
The Dominication continues Sometimes it seems to me that God is now raising an army to prepare for troubled times ahead and that to me is a one reason so many new vocations and communties are springing up and being renewed. I think of Jesus' words to St Faustina and Our lady of Fatima. Maybe i am going a litel nuts but that is also the take of many I know. And sooo...... the time for dominicans and franciscans.. Carmelite in the background etc..... Im kidding, I fully support their plans to rule the world

I never finished it the first time because it was just too much for me then, she being the first mystic Id tried to read. What I know from it though is part of what impels my Divine Mercy devotion. The place of a Carmelite is that of a prophetic witness silently pointing the way to the kingdom like Our Father Elijah Hidden in Carith. We were always taught that the Carmelite is one who silently hangs on the other side of the cross with Christ offering herself with Him to the father for the salvation of souls. That is why in all our cells, the refectory etc... we have only crosses and not crucifixes as it is a reminder of our calling. Of course I am being superficial here as there is so much more to Carmelite spirituality.
JTheresa
I love the talk of this spiritual battle!! I've always thought that the active orders were the ones on the war front "physically" so to speak, because the war is more of a battle of good and evil, and for us is against sin, so it is physical and mental. The cloistered orders are the ones who seem to be more in the backround, but in many ways they are on the front lines more than the active orders because of thier prayers. The cloister is in a continuous mental war for souls. They also can be considered the reinforcements for the active orders, because their prayers help them tremendously. I would put the priests as medics; they are the ones who are most sought after by the enemy because they have the power to heal souls. If they wound the priest, then they also wound other souls. That's another big thing that I've noticed. When any of the "soldiers" in the army get wounded by sin, it always affects someone else. Most of the time they get wounded from it too, but we always have the healers, the priests, who not only heal but provide nurishment with the Bread of Life! sorry, that was just my little speal for the day.
