TeresaBenedicta
Do you ever find yourself in that weird sleep state where your mind is still thinking about something but it's not really dreaming per se because it's pure mental activity, not imagination? This happened to me tonight as I was trying to go to bed. I "slept" for about an hour, but was thinking the whole time and woke myself up with a particularly interesting thought. Now I'm still very much awake and still thinking about the same subject. I think I'm weird.
Fragments
I think I've done that before. But my Mum always told me it meant you were sleeping but only very very lightly. The same sleep where you react to outside noises etc.
Paddington
I think false memories form in that state of mind.

Fragments
I have a tape that sends the sleeper into a state of lucid dreaming, I had awful nightmares before it.

CatherineM
I do that almost every night, especially in the morning just before waking up. I work out lots of stuff that way.

dominicansoul
I had a dream where I was playing a game on "The Price is Right." I woke up screaming numbers/prices at the top of my voice! I thought I saw Bob Barker in my bedroom that instant as I was waking up...it was really creepy...

Maggyie
I have been doing this a lot lately, for entire nights. Sometimes I wake myself up when my mind gets too loud! It's not very restful grrrr.
