tinytherese
I remember during orientation time in my freshman year and I was quietly kneeling in front and praying the rosary. My rommate who was a Christmas/Easter Baptist (who I wondered if she was secretly an agnostic) saw me and flipped out like I was doing a voodoo ritual. One night she brought the topic up and I assured her that I was saying good prayers and not say praying for harm to come to her so that I would have my own room. Micah
I wear a stone with a cross on it, and the cashier girl at school looked at it like I was wearing something horrible. I also had what may have been a lesbian (I suspect) glare at my ashes on my forehead the entire bus ride to school last year. But I ordered a 3 inch wooden cross, a WWJD bracelet and I'm getting my brown scapular blessed. So the haters are going to have alot more to hate about when school starts again in 10 days. Vincent Vega
JMJ My scapular gets comments when it escapes. So does my "Pray For Vocations: www. PGHPRIEST.com" rubber bracelet.
I never knew you were from Pittsburgh, Triddy.
MIKolbe
Why don't you have one anymore, if you don't mind my asking?
A friend of mine, who I used to work with, was having a very rough time with life: personal, financial, emotional, professional, family, friends..everything. I gave it to him (explained what it was, what it meant, what I believe, and who she was) (he was agnostic with JW's in the family) and asked once she helped him, because I know she would, that he had to give it to someone else who needed it. He wears one that looks like this: He's given at least 2 away to random strangers who were admiring it, and one to a family member, but probably more.
