So i started listening to Five Iron Frenzy and like a few of their songs like Dandelions and Oh Canada. Anyone recommend bands? or songs? Or listen to ska? lol

Nihil Obstat

I'm a big fan of ska, but I can't say I know any Christian ska bands. The Specials are awesome, but also extremely un-Christian. Rancid has some great ska tracks, as does Tim Armstrong's solo album, but they're definitely not Christian either.

I don't really want to 'recommend' any songs in particular because, to be honest with you, some of their best songs music wise also have the most un-Christian themes. :P

You really can't go wrong artistically with any of it though. They're in some ways to ska what the Ramones were to punk, although not with quite as much of a pioneering aspect.

eustace scrubb

The O.C. Supertones
The Insyderz
B.O.B. (Bunch of Believers)
The Deluxtone Rockets
The W's

and several more from the late 90's, all of whom haunt my nightmares...

I looked into the 5 iron frenzy song. Really good so I bought it.

Eustace Scrubb: Those bands sound cool :) I will check it out tomorrow :)

Here's the clearest example of what I was talking about earlier:

Music wise it's a great song, really a phenomenal song, but at the same time it is a pro-contraception anthem. Rather disgusting morals behind it. Pure selfishness and lefty wackiness.

God the Father

Five Iron Frenzy rules. Potshot and Nicotine are two good Japanese acts. If you can dig up anything from Slapstick do it. MU330 is great. None of this is "christian" ska though so take as you will
