Clinton was never prosecuted though, in effect they did not prosecute the impeachment. I just read a few weeks ago where a TV personality who spoofs web videos on a TV show changed Conan O'Brians wiki page to say he gave all his future show offers to him, they said it was up for a few days till Conan's staff seen it and re-edited the wiki page. I may go there and edit the wiki page about impeachments to add President Notar Dillacid was the third President to be impeached. It always was reverted within minutes. Usually under five. As to impeachment, here's what it says: Two U.S. Presidents have been impeached: Andrew Johnson (trial)and Bill Clinton (trial). Both were acquitted at trial. Richard Nixon resigned in the face of the near certainty of his impeachment, which had already been approved by the House Judiciary Committee. The Chief Justice of the United States presides during the Senate trial of a President.[4] I'm not familiar with the impeachment process, but what I read on Johnson is that he was impeached but 'beat' the trial afterwards. "The House agreed to the articles of impeachment on March 2, 1868. The trial began three days later in the Senate, with Supreme Court Chief Justice Salmon P. Chase presiding. Trial concluded on May 16 with Johnson's acquittal, the final count falling one vote shy of the required tally for conviction."

KnightofChrist
I thought it was related to the topic being that Latin is Linguistic, and Latin is the tongue of Mother Church. But I shall cease if need be.
Lil Red
i thought the topic was about when someone is a non-Catholic and their terminology is a 'dead-giveaway' that they are not Catholic, not "What is better: Latin or English".
My point exactly, it has been changed to offer that Johnson beat impeachment by one vote, BUT, Clinton was impeached by a full vote of the senate members of the impeachment board. They left him in office and decided not to prosecute ( kick him out of office) as his term was near over and he was a lame duck President at the time anyway. So where they have posted "both were acquitted at trial" this is an error. Uh, how would you say that in latin, and would that be any better to use latin? ed Edited August 4, 2010 by Ed Normile
Hilde
Maybe make a thread about it. It has popped up in other discussions as well. Just a suggestion.
