eustace scrubb
It's the one that I think Louisville Fan recommended? St. Gertrude's in Madeira. I like it. We went out to each afterward and I got in a two-hour conversation with a girl. Considering that I had sprained my ankle the night before, that was encouraging. Life in Cincinnati isn't so bad here if you're a Catholic. A lot of things have happened since I last posted on here regularly. I got heat sick a couple times because of the vicious midwest heatwave and even had a couple seizures from it, some violent/dramatic neighbors were evicted, I started doing spoken word at hardcore punk and metal shows (which is highly unusual, but my friends who book shows asked me to, so I obliged) and at the metal one, a few people were so angry that I talked about God in what I read that I almost got beat up, I started a small record label specifically for Catholic and Eastern Orthodox punk, hardcore, and some forms of aggressive avant-garde (haha) music, I turned 30 a little over a week ago and had a "root beer kegger" for it, which was very well-attended and my family got to finally meet a good number of my friends at it, I finally got back to mass at the Newman Center, and they're starting RCIA in October (woot!!!). I also just started reading The Interior Castle by St. Teresa of Avila.
Guest betsygrace
I'm moving to Cincinnati in September! I've heard really good things about St. Gertrude's and am excited to start attending the 20s group. Were there a lot of people there and did it seem pretty active in general?
