i have a friend who has gotten in the the Left Behind books. i, of corse, dont agree with the books or reading them. the problem of her reading them is made worse by the fact that she cant/wont go to church. she is baptist by birth and now lives just with her mom and step father. her mom and step father arnt big into going to church (though it might change.) so she uses the books as one way of leaning (about God, faith, the divine plan i guess) i often offer to take her to mass, but she wont go (and i wonder if it is from anti-catholic views in the books or just anti-catholic views she might have gotten from her former church.) this is my question: do u have any recomendations oh what i can say about the books? i have told her that they were witten as fiction and that understanding apocoliptic writting is hard. we should not use a book of fiction to understand things like that. i even got her teh book The Rapture Trap. i try not to get to complex with why the books can be bad, but sometimes i dont know what to say. if you have any sugestions, or can just pray for her, that woudl help. thanks :)

I suggest you get Carl Olson's book: Will Catholics be left Behind?

And here are some of his articles on the Rapture:
