DojoGrant
I just want to say that if you think that Catholicism only satisfies the intellect, you've only looked at it from an intellectual level. As Protestants tend to do, they jump first in with the research, because its doctrinal issues that bother them most. Once I was intellectually satisfied, I realized it wasn't enough, and then I began my spiritual journey. Catholicism satisfies my spiritual needs in Christ because it brings Christ to me; it IS Christ's Church, and it is where He is manifested (in His Word and Sacraments). It's also false to think that only intellectuals join the Church. Many converts are drawn to Christ's Church because the depth and reverance of its worship for the One True God. Catholicism satisfies all because it is how Christ reveals Himself to those who came after His earthly ministry. And Christ satisfies all.

mulls
haha look at this, i couldn't stay away for more than a month. but it was a much needed month, focused on surviving the end of the school year, and of course, on God. it's ok though, because in 2 weeks i'll be gone for the whole summer. and i still stick by the argument that i opened this topic with, if anyone cares to discuss. Brother Adam
"hopefully with a bible at my disposal" Dude, if you had a Bible at your disposal AND could read before the 18th century, more power to you. And if you had a hand-copied Bible in the 12th century, you must be a priest or royalty, for those were chained to the church grounds so no one would steal them. Could you imagine being a monk copying the Bible down letter by letter, day after day?
Quietfire
Hey Mulls, What was your original arguement? It seemed more like a statement than an arguement. Edited May 18, 2004 by Quietfire
