IgnatiusofLoyola
I live in Canadaland though. There's funding for anything you can shake a stick at.
Does that mean there is no government funding for bathing suits in Canada? Do the poor have to swim in everyday clothes or nothing? What has this world come to? Go ahead and wear your karate outfit for swimming. When you and L-D (in his beechclout) go swimming together, I want to take pictures. And, I will make my unique contribution to religious vocations among young men. I will make an appearance at a retreat for young men considering the priesthood, wearing my very modest Lands' End bathing suit, and I guarantee that as they see what their young lady friends will look like in a bathing suit in all too few years, priestly vocations will increase exponentially. I'll even be kind, and not remind them that it won't be that many years before they, too, show the signs of aging. They wouldn't believe me anyway. Teenagers think they will never get older, and will look young forever. Right. Just like I'm one of the top three candidates to be the next Pope. (I'm running on the platform that, when I am Pope, all vestments will be beautiful, but tasteful. I don't want to be Pope for religious reasons, or to make a statement about women's rights, I just want to have people whose job is to keep my house clean, cook my meals, and in their spare time pray for me. I guess I'd get the same service if I were President (well, except for the prayers), but I like the way the Pope dresses better, and I prefer Rome to Washington, D.C.)
