yeah, it's because of your post count. once you get 10 posts your group name changes and your permissions are "opened" so you can post in other places and edit profile information. It doesn't say anything abut the in limbo(sorta) group. And the mission statement link links to a "dude, this is lame" site.

I actually like that mission statement.
I like it, too! I hope someone doesn't try to change it! I've been involved several times in writing mission statements, and with a few rare exceptions, they come out meaning nothing to an outside reader, and they have this tendency to sound alike. One of my favorite "work" mission statements was written by a Brit who thought the U.S. fad for mission statements was a waste of time. She decided that her work mission statement was along the lines of, "To do my work as well and enjoyably as possible, and go home on time." IgnatiusofLoyola
I'd like to ask how to save my messages when my message box gets too full. I know that I have asked this question before, but someone thought it would be fun to answer, "Click all the boxes then choose delete." Cute, but it meant that, although I got a few responses, because of the joker, I never knew if anyone gave me the REAL answer or if they were all joking. Does anyone know the actual way to do this? Thanks! Edited July 14, 2010 by IgnatiusofLoyola
IcePrincessKRS
i think you just have to copy and paste them somewhere else, an e-mail or document. I don't believe there is any way to save them on the phorum.
IgnatiusofLoyola
i think you just have to copy and paste them somewhere else, an e-mail or document. I don't believe there is any way to save them on the phorum.
That was my understanding, too, that is, that there is no way to save messages on the phorum. But, here is what it says under "Help" with regard to saving messages: Archive Messages If your messenger folders are full and you are unable to receive new messages, you can archive them off. This compiles the messages into a single HTML page or Microsoft Excel format. This page is then emailed to your registered email address for your convenience. That suggested that there was a way to archive groups of messages, rather than having to take each message one by one and copy it into a document or Word file. But, I know that some things in "Help" are generic, and don't necessarily apply to Phatmass, so I didn't know whether or not Phatmass had a way to archive groups of messages. Thanks for your help on this!
IcePrincessKRS
There should be a feature under "my settings" to "manage notes." I believe you could copy and paste to store some messages there, but I don't know how extensive the storage space for that is, and not sure if it actually e-mails anything to you. I've never used the feature.
