I did not argue that what I provided from the Bishop must be believed. Nor did I ague that it was not opinion. You falsely attack my argument by making out that opinions of Popes and Bishops don't matter. False. My actual argument is that Catholics are free to agree or disagree with opinions of Popes and Bishops, so long as those opinions do not violate Church Teaching (ie JPII views on Capital Punishment do not violate Church Teaching). The problem is when people try and make those opinions more than opinion. Which is what often happens in the debates that you are referring to.
