I Am Going To Destroy You All

All of you. Stop playing your children's games. Do none of you understand that we will soon be destroyed?

Once again, Mr. Obstat, you have shown wisdom beyond your years. I had planned to suggest Candyland to Selah, but although it uses cards, it's not strictly a card game. But, it is awesome, nonetheless!

Unasked for dating tip: On the first or second date, it may not be the best idea to invite your date back to your house (especially if you are still living with your parents) for a rousing game of Candyland. After she gets to know you and understand you better, then, by all means share a game of Candyland. And, if she replies to your Candyland invitation that her favorite way to spend an evening is a highly competitive round of Chutes 'n Ladders, you might as well book the church immediately, because she is your soulmate. (Especially if she is kidding--a mate who not only understands but shares your sense of humor is so important that, in my case, I consider it pretty much a "dealbreaker" if a guy doesn't "get" when I am kidding.)

I still need to ask her out, and there's no guarantees she'll still be single by the end of the summer when she gets home. :weep:

Do you know her well enough to send her an email? Nothing hot and heavy, just, "Wondering how your summer is going?" I'd hold off on mentioning Candyland, but that's just me.

You have a distinct advantage over some other twerp in her hometown that she may mistakenly think is good enough for her, and that is proximity. Yes, long-distance relationships can work (witness Mr. and Mrs. Slappo), but they are notoriously hard to keep up. Come September, you will be close by, and able to "wow" her with your combination of intelligence, sense of humor, and overpowering good looks, and she'll realize that the twerp in her hometown is a poser who can't hold an intelligent conversation, and doesn't bathe frequently enough.

Guys, chill.

All I want to do is play a children's card game with you and send your immortal souls to the shadow realm. sheesh, take everything so personally.

Well, before you send Nihil's immortal soul to the shadow realm, you could at least let him him go on a date. He's nice to you--you owe him that much.

After all, it's for eternity, so it can wait a couple of months.

Besides, I need time to figure out what to wear in the shadow realm. I've never even heard of it, so how do I know what clothes to bring?

Actually the problem is that she's working at a camp for the rest of the summer. No internet, very rare access to phones, and probably no time to reply to letters either.
I'm hoping she doesn't find any guys at that camp in the meantime. :P It's a possibility.

We should have a WAR tournament!!! The all time victor recieves world domination as a reward!!! Because clearly someone who
can take on all of Phatmass and win MUST be not only clever but very attracttive and therefore deserves to rule the world.

Who dares challenge me?

Nihil Obstat

We should have a correspondence game of Risk. If we do it by email we might be able to get through a full game by this time in 2025.

I challenge you. After I smoke this cig. Oh. It is not even lighted up.... That's good. I don't like to smoke anyway. It can cause lung cancer and it's not good when children are around.
