Tony
mainly the protestant variety is where i'm getting at, your run of the mill christian song you will find on your radio. a lot of them are sappy stories about how they were down in the dumps, lost everything, etc they accepted Christ and everything was all happy. I am not saying I don't love Christ (I do!) but some of this music.... i can't really handle anymore

tinytherese
With me it depends on the song. I remember this one song I thought was messed up was this guy singing about how he had this really emotional conversion, "I'm high and flying."

laetitia crucis
Pretty much the only "Christian music" I listen to these days is Matt Maher. Back in the day, I was quite the fan of the Newsboys, dcTalk, Rebecca St. James, and Danielle Rose.
Bennn
It is not my taste. I love mysticism and contemplation so my musical taste reflects this. The ancient Christian chants echo the voices of our fathers who went before us, and it unites us with them. I don't like much modern music. +Pax Domini, Ben

eustace scrubb
I will probably write a book on this subject in the future (not kidding), so I'll reply to this later. Just want to have a placeholder here to remind me of it.
