Concupiscence

So I've heard the claim multiple times when it comes to people making immoral choices in some areas, such as when a girl sleeps around that deep down what she is really looking for is love, but is pursuing it in the wrong way-- basically that we desire what is good yet we go about this good in the wrong way. Does this contradict Catholic belief, since by nature we as human beings are known to be drawn to what is evil? I know that this is an objection that many people have to this way of thinking.

Humans are not inclined to evil by our very natural, we are inclined to what is wrong or evil because of our fallen nature. Because of our fallen nature we often suffer from concupiscence according to the Catechism of the Catholic Church is that which unsettles man's moral faculties and, without being in itself an offense, inclines man to commit sins. Even with the inclination to sin or to fail to do what is right, concupiscence, we still have the free will to follow the path that is good and true.
