elizabeth09
I think that you should read the books before watching the movies because you will understand it better.
MithLuin
The Chronicles of "Mommmm this isn't Harry Potter!!"
Sure about that? They're searching for seven horcruxes, I mean, lost swords, and the bad guys travel as a mist (green, not black, but still). sarcasmguy126
They ruined them. And I'm not being one of those "Oh, it's not true to the book, it's lame..." folks here. The allegory was corrupted so much that the theme and message hardly resembled what C.S. Lewis wrote. It's almost on the same level as making a movie about a Hindu or Buddhist legend and rewriting it so that it promotes monotheism. If this continues under 20th Century Fox, I challenge all Christians to boycott the (allegedly) conservative Fox News Corp.
I may have commented in this blog already, but I don't exactly agree that they've ruined them. LWW was well done, PC was less well done (there was no reason to make Peter a belligerent fool and be arguing with Caspian half the movie, and no need for the Hollywood touch of romance between Caspian and Susan...who's like 1200 years older than him anyway), and VDT could've had better plotlines (the green mist comes to mind, for instance), but they needed to add more to VDT or there wouldn't have been much of a story, just them sailing around the sea to a bunch of islands and encountering a sea monster. But let me point out that Walden Media should be blamed for any stray source material...Disney and Fox 2000 just distribute the movies. Also, the characters in LWW and VDT were well done indeed (especially Lucy, who was always well-cast, Reepicheep, and Eustace), and the final scene in VDT was actually quite powerful, and caused me and several others I know to choke up. So don't be so hard on 'em. I have much higher hopes for The Magician's Nephew and The Silver Chair (I just dunno which they'll do next, cause the end of VDT alluded to Jill and Eustace meeting), but the Internet says that TMN is the next that will be made. Hmmmm....
elizabeth09
I think the people who are doing this are tying to do them in order, so the next one might be The Siver Chair.
