God Conquers
Judaism is one of the coolest religions out there. How could we not respect those who adhere to the old Law? Who enjoyed God's first covenant? The Prayer for the Jewish People on Good Friday is great, anyone notice that? Man, some of my good friends are jewish... I love'em. benedict_x
I What I dont like however are people who go around blasting catholics without rhyme or reason and choose to live in their ignorance/arrogance.

Lil Red
it makes no sense to hate Jewish people. Our Lord and Our Lady were both Jewish. How can you hate your heritage? So therefore, Aye!

Seatbelt Blue
I. Let me say this thread is one of the most idiotic things I've ever seen. "If you love Jews, say I!" If I was Jewish, I'd probably actually be offended by this.

Jake Huether
I. Let me say this thread is one of the most idiotic things I've ever seen. "If you love Jews, say I!" If I was Jewish, I'd probably actually be offended by this.
Wow.. Okay. Then let me make a disclaimer. If you are Jewish and think that this thread is offensive, I apologize. It was not meant that way. I simply wanted to get the point across that Catholics, and non-Catholic Christians LOVE the Jewish people. There is no animosity, or resentment. This thread is about Love. If that is offensive, then I'm sorry.
Seatbelt Blue
Well, the offensive thing I saw was "we love jews" - most people would rather be judged on individual merit than as a group. Think about that. There have been Jews I've loved and Jews I've despised, and neither judgement was based on their jewishness. Some Jews rock, some Jews are real jerks. Jake Huether
Well, the offensive thing I saw was "we love jews" - most people would rather be judged on individual merit than as a group. Think about that. There have been Jews I've loved and Jews I've despised, and neither judgement was based on their jewishness. Some Jews rock, some Jews are real jerks.
But how would I word that? "I love some Jews, but not all" That would be equally offensive, because the Jew reading it might think that they were one of the people that is in the "not all" group. I think being PC is rediculous. We cannot be afraid to say what we feel. I love Jews! We Love Jews. What's so offensive about that? If I were to read a thread written by a Jewish group which stated "We love Catholics" and I got offended, I seriously have to stop and think if maybe I'm the one with the problem, not them. If one finds this thread offensive, then maybe they have issues to work out. If you can't recieve Love, then you have an issue. It's just like this issue with the Passion of the Christ. The movie is not antisemitic at all. The only reason people now perceive it to be, is because it was brought up. Had the media not said "anti jew" or "anti semite", this thought would not even cross anyones mind while watching the film. Now, indeed, this thread is idiodic. Because since "someone" brought up that it might be offensive, "offensive" might find it's way into someones thoughts. This thread isn't offensive. It isn't intended to be. And there is nothing offensive in it. It is a thread for Love. Let it be.
