I don't really care. I've meant this as an ongoing joke. I'm not really dejected and anxious about when I may or may not get cookies. I'm touched that you would send them, but as they say 'it's the thought that counts'. Even that literature selection was deliberate and tongue-in-cheek. Pechorin thinks up his sob story to touch the heart of the haughty Princess Mary. He's detached and superfluous.





You mocked me by offering me cookies. Floating their possibility out there, and then constantly snatching them away. As though you can condition me to behavior like Pavlov's dog. I reject your nihilistic and behaviorist worldview and stand defiantly by demanding respect for human dignity which rejects your mechanistic view of human nature and manipulative use of cookies.















In all seriousness. I would love cookies at some point, if for no other reason than to shut-up MIKolbe's gloating, but don't want any now. I don't live at that address anymore (I'm at my family's home until the fall semester) and really did have an awful diet during summer school and the end of Spring semester and really am forcing myself to live a pretty healthy lifestyle (healthy food, regular visits to the gym, sleeping every night, (almost) no alcohol, and a pot of tea every day) until school starts back up. Once I've eased up I'd love some cookies, but not for a little bit please. Since I do appreciate the kindness behind them, I would hate to have to give them away because they came when I wasn't allowing myself sweets.
