Gall Bladder Surgery On Wednesday Morning

I'm having my gall bladder removed on Wednesday. A stone is stuck in the neck of the duct to it. This is something that probably needed to be done several years ago, but wasn't, because I couldn't handle the test that it came up on. Thankfully, they changed the way that they do it. Praise the Lord that this worked out so well!!! I'm actually really looking forward to the surgery and hope that it will be able to help me start off on the path to recovery. Getting my hopes up to much and expecting things to be all ready to go before they've started to take root is a major problem I have with this sort of thing, though, so please keep that in mind when you pray for me.

The GREAT NEWS that I have is now that I have sneakers that don't hurt to walk in and have been eating better, I lost THIRTY POUNDS IN THREE WEEKS!!!!!!!!! I wasn't even trying, either! Just walking around and eating healthier! I should do a commercial! Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get to mass in awhile, mostly due to oppressive heat and then severe stomach pain. On the bright side, however, my main Catholic friend helped me find a devotional that I'm able to do every morning and that, along with starting to establish a bit of a routine when I wake up (with the use of some self-discipline, which I've been sorely lacking...), has helped my spiritual health immensely. All of these positive changes are in their early stages, so please pray that God would help provide me with the self-discipline, determination, and encouragement (something sorely lacking in my life... :( ) that I need.

As for the surgery, all prayers, good thoughts, and words of encouragement are more than appreciated. Also, if you want to ask any saints for their intercession, I'd suggest Benedict, Bonaventure, Joseph of Leonessa, Liborius, Florentius of Strasburg, Drogo, and Charles Borremeo for me. And for the surgeons and their skillful hands, St. Luke, of course!!!

pax te cum,

tim : )
