MissScripture
A few weeks after I bought my first crucifix necklace (about a year before Catholicism entered my life), I woke up one morning and discovered that the corpus was missing. (It was one of those hematite beaded necklaces with a hematite cross and silver corpus.) The first words out of my mouth that morning were a very panicked, "I'VE LOST JESUS!!!" Then an exasperated, "Hey roomie, can you help me find Jesus? Please?" Her response: Uh... suuure.
My dad always wears a rather large crucifix, and he once shot Jesus across a restaurant, when he got the crucifix caught on the edge of a table.
i don't know if it's eczema, but my left hand is allergic to my wedding ring. i never knew I had a skin allergy, and, i'm also over 30. I was thinking the same thing - a good opportunity to evangelize!
SAD! And I thought it was depressing I couldn't wear a ring from my sister! Your wedding ring? I would CRY! A lot!
You can get plastic liners for wedding rings when that happens.
How awful to be allergic to your wedding ring!!! Is it gold? Usually gold is good for allergies. I've never heard whether platinum is good for allergies or not. I'm allergic to silver, which is too bad because I like the color of silver. I know this isn't ideal, but if you could find a non-allergic metal, you could always get a second wedding ring, have it blessed by your priest, and call it an anniversary ring (but wear it on your left hand as your wedding ring).
