I saw it today with my mom and really enjoyed it. I haven't seen a good chick flick in a long time. There was only one sexual reference in the film (which was barely noticable.) I felt like going to Verona viewing it. I also thought that the leading man was good looking.

Eh...it was most definitely a chick flick. Cute. Pretty cheesy. BUT I did enjoy it.

***The only issue I have about claiming it "chaste" was that the main character goes ot Italy with her finacee for a honeymoon before the wedding. And they most definitely share a bed from the background that is shown (although there are no scences with them in it). However it is very, very, very tame compared to even day time tv...

Have yet to see it.
This may be one of those films that critics grind their teeth over that still has a long life with its public.
Didn't Vanessa Redgrave and Franco Nero, the co-stars, re-marry recently?

Aww. :( This should've gone behind a spoiler. I mean... I know that anyone can guess that this would've happened... But I like to try and work out all the what-ifs beforehand, too. ;)

If the mad that I was engage with, that we do not go on our pre-hoonymoon. If starts talking about it, then I say that I can not marry you then.

I really really wanna see it..but no one I know wants to see it. (And I'm not much of a chick flick gal) I think it will be one of those movies that I secretly buy, view by myself and then when people go "have you seen it?" I just look away and go "Nooo..." I liked this movie, though like people say above, I didn't like how they went on a pre-honeymoon. Other than that, it was sweet, and fun to watch. I love Italy and used to go there sometimes, so it was fun to see that part of it.

I hate movies like this, that encourage affairs and smooth it over with "oh it was true love." (I'm sure it doesn't hurt that the love interest is blonde haired-blue eyed Italian dream boat) The Notebook was the same way.

Women seem to eat this up though, another reason not to trust them.
