THose are neat. Where did you find those? Did they have priest and brother ones?
Well, they were a gift... A company makes them (although I'm not sure if they still do...). I don't know about priest or brother paper dolls... I didn't think men played with such things...

I don't know if this qualifies for "random vocations" but I just wanted to let you all know that I bumped into two Sisters at a historical/touristy site!!! I was going up to them to ask them which order they were from, but they didn't speak English. I think they were Filipino. We have a convent for the Sisters of St. Joseph and I wonder if they are from a Filipino convent and are visiting here. I'm going to look into it further. They had a gray habit/scapular that was mid-calf length, a modified veil that was black with a white headband, and wore a crucifix of some sort (couldn't get a good enough look at it because I was standing too far away). I just thought that was really cool seeing random nuns in a random spot. LOL! :)

I once ran into some habited nuns at Disney Land. My high school band was performing and they stopped to watch... I couldn't stop looking at them during our performance, they noticed my cross necklace and my smiling and waved at me. I was a very happy 17 year old.

Some of my friends later told me they had seen the sisters on the rollarcoasters. :P

It was way too early in the morning when I posted the question...hahaha

And by the way, I don't play with dolls. :ohno: hahaha

I would actually be interested in this to teach about the different sorts of habits! Like, have a set of them and ask a kid what order it is from!

That's the sort of collage you could fruitfully do in catechesis: it builds up Catholic culture... and possibly vocations!

But yeah, even as a man I think that picking an order because of the colors in their habits would arguably be a childish thing to do. Although it's hard to resist playing around with it... :P

It's very obvious that the answer is H.

Disclaimer: this answer is true even if the short bios I've read of those founders say they were neither from the Order of Preachers nor the Dominican Republic (unless I got LC wrong). :P

Two of my old HS sisters would go to Disney (Florida). They had this tradition where they'd play some buzz lightyear game where you have to shoot out a bunch of aliens or something. One sister came into class one day and was so disappoint that Sr. D beat her again. Supposedly Sr. D is not merciful in her playing of buzz lightyear games!

I don't know about rollar coasters...but it is a sight to see!

So I got a letter from the Nuns recently... I guess one of their dogs escaped and was hit chasing cars in the fall... :( But, for Christmas, they got two puppies (a lab and a shepherd) which they named Corbie (for St. Colette of Corbie) & Roma. Also, Sr. Andrew (who is from Scotland--I love her accent!) is celebrating her Jubilee in early March. :nunpray:

Next time I visit, I get to be measured for a jumper... lol. I am curious how this is going to work though, with them within the enclosure...

I imagine they would... I know there is a little turn room attached to the parlor that has a door in & out of the enclosure.

Oh my... things are falling into place very quickly now. I'm beginning the final descent... I certainly don't feel ready yet, but its His Will, not mine!
