Sounds like a scathingly brilliant idea to me.

Ooh, the Trinitarians? I don't know much about them. I looked into them a few times but nothing ever really clicked. I'm sure they are a great group, though. I'm happy you are entering.

Thanks! :)
Just wondering, though, are you perhaps thinking of these Trinitarians (http://www.trinitari...bout/index.html):

instead of these Trinitarians: (http://www.trinitari...me_English.html)?

Yes, I was thinking of those Trinitarians. I've never seen the other ones before. They look like Franciscans. Very Ninja like. :ninja:

Everytime I see your Sisters' habit, I immediately think of the Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate. Their habits are so very similar! The only differences being that yours have a larger Miraculous Medal, a scapular, a cream veil instead of blue, and no Franciscan cords. :)

It's been a few days, but I want to share this: On Thursday a woman from our parish entered the local Carmelite monastery!!! :) I don't really know her, but I got to meet her after Mass on Thursday, and she's really nice. I could tell she was really happy. :)

Wow! How exciting-I don't think we have had a nun from our diocese in my lifetime. That's great for your parish-and they'll have ANOTHER Vocation when you enter! Lucky ducks.

This thread has gotten way too far down the page.

Random thought of the day: I've been sewing wayyyyy too much lately. It also got very real when I started putting name tags on my clothes.

There is no such thing as too much sewing.
How many more days for you?

My question as well. Lisa, do you have a goodbye thread?

Was her live-in 3 weeks long? If so, she is hitting the home stretch. I really hope she liked it there. I just finished In This House of Brede and it really opened my eyes to the beauty of Benedictine life, especially since it was partly inspired/based on St Cecilia's!

Well, since this is a random vocations thread, and I am good at being seemingly random, though most of the time I'm not being random, rather something said triggered a memory of mine, I suppose I'll add another post.

I have been talking with the Franciscan Brothers Minor for nearly half a year now, and I really think they are the community for me. They have very deep spiritual lives (They do all seven hours of the Divine Office every day), and yet they also go out and speak to people a lot, and they have free time as well to do whatever they like, so I can practice my karate. And, they are traditional to the core. I'm drawn to them in a way I have never been drawn to a community before. I really hope to go on a live-in as soon as possible (Which is conveniently seventeen). Just a little more than a year to go until I can do this, too.
