Guess what! Guess what! Guess what!!!!! I've only just found that two Sisters of Life are coming to my school tonight! They are joining us for Mass and then we can have dinner with them!!!! My friend and I are excited to meet them! I don't personally know if I see myself with them but it can't hurt to check them out and I just love to meet new Sisters! So this is very exciting! Tonight's going to be a great night!

Have a fruitful time with the Sisters. Don't try to impress or give the "right answer", just be yourself. If you do put on a facade, remember....you can only keep it up for so long before your real personality comes through. Be honest with yourself and the Sisters from the outset. I'm a mother and grandma....I couldn't help myself :smile2:

Okay so last night. One of the best nights EVER!!!!!! We had three Sisters with us and also Sr. John Marie so technically four Sisters. We all went to Mass and then we got to really meet the Sisters afterwards. The first one I met was Sr. Cecilia. She's a second year novice. She was so cute. She kept saying Praise God! Praise God! Which I loved. We had a huge group of girls sitting at the table with us in our dining hall. I wonder what everyone else thought. They must have been jealous because we were at the razzle dazzle table. Anyway, they told us their Vocation stories and about their work. Their charism and Apostolate is so beautiful and so necessary for today's world. There was a lot of joy and laughter going on. It just felt so natural and normal. I felt comfortable with them. I wish we could do it every day. And of course one of our guy friends kept making these stupid nun jokes. But it was pretty funny too. Although I was sad that it had to end, we have our Women's Discernment group dinner next week so I'm looking forward to that.

And to end the perfect night, I saw the school's production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and it was PHENOMENAL!! The whole night was just a blessing and I am so grateful for it. Years and years ago, I never would have imagined myself having dinner with Sisters and having a good time. You really never know!

I'mmmmmm ba-ack. Sort of.

Christmas break is coming up. This is good - I'll have time to pray more and figure out all this crud with this guy and discernment and everything.

Also hoping to have an sd next semester, work, and visit sisters! (If I get monies! Pray about that for me, please.)

So yeah.

Rosary Walk/Circle/Coffee thing tonight. Any prayer requests?

My dad's co-worker. His mother and his son were found dead in an up turned car in a creek yesterday. It was so sudden. The grandmother was taking the boy (who was 6) to school and everyone assumed that she swerved for a deer. (They lived in upstate New York) They were only found today. Any prayers would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Please pray for me as I continue discerning what vocation God is calling me to whether it be religious/consecrated life or marriage. I do not desire to turn away from His will and do my own. I want whatever God wants. :)

MT,
Will you pray for my sister? She is very sick and I am very sad and troubled over it. She's like a second mother to me. Like the Pauline to my Therese.
Thanks.

Also, something random and unexpected...

It is quite likely that I will be invested with the holy habit... wow, in exactly a month from tomorrow.

All of the sudden, the thought of being in habit terrifies me. In the sort of 'I am not worthy' way. I used to be sooo excited about it. And I still am... but in a different sort of way. Mostly, however, I'm terrified because of how absolutely unworthy I am to receive it.

I just realized that she will be clothed 5 days from now!! Hopefully the pictures will be up shortly after!

Although things are wonderful right now, I still feel this small piece of frustration in my discernment. It's hard to explain but there are certain feelings that come to me sometimes that make me doubt my Vocation and make me think otherwise but I need to try to think realistically. I don't know why this happens to me but I would like to make it stop somehow

Doubt is completely normal. I'm reading a book called In Good Company by James Martin, SJ. In it he describes his own feelings of doubt throughout his discernment, novitiate, and currently. All we can do is pray and seek guidance.

It's not really so much doubt, it's just that I feel like I'm getting a lot of mixed signs. It's happened before and then it got better and now it's happening again. I don't know if that's considered doubt. It's just frustration
