I Saved A Slug Last Night...

I was taking a walk last night and I saw this big slug with spots, and it was on the concrete.

I felt bad so I picked it up and put it in the grass.

Yeah. Jason, I'm pretty sure I'm weirder then you :mellow:

I think slugs are cool. In California growing up, we had banana slugs, which aren't scary at all.

In fact, the Univ of California, Santa Cruz has chosen the banana slug as their school mascot, with the motto "Fiat Slug."

Factoid: In "Pulp Fiction," John Travolta changed into a Univ of Calif, Santa Cruz Banana Slugs sweatshirt, after his clothes were ruined in the bloody car.

Slugs gross me out. But tis cool that you saved one. I guess if they exist they're worth saving for something.

I saved a huge toad today. Twas epic.

Aw, I've done this before, too! :)

Incidentally... A few weeks ago my husband came in from out back looking all pleased with himself. He'd salted a slug. :mellow:

Lately I have been seeing black slugs in the morning. I've nicknamed them Slugs of Doom :reaper: ...never seen them before & yet I'm pretty sure all they do is munch grass so I let them be....

Small world. I spent my childhood among banana slugs in that part of Cali. I too thought they were neat.
