Has Anyone Ever Seen One Like This?

Statue of St. Thomas Aquinas:

Last summer I went to the Philippines and saw a statue just like this in San Pedro Cathedral (in Davao City); however, I could not find another one anywhere else. (Not even in the cathedral gift shop.)

So, has anyone else seen one like this? Does anyone else know where one could be purchased?

Oh that garment looks like one Mary wears in a picture that hangs where we go after mass. And I've forgotten its name even though somebody told me.

But I've never seen that one. St.Thomas the angel?

Makes me wonder if they took an angel and just painted over it. I've seen lots of strange statues in foreign countries.

Ah! That makes sense! Hmmmm... do you think it'd be okay if I found an angel statue holding a book and painted it like the picture?

I've never seen a depiction of Aquinas with wings before, or have him referred to as and angel like say st.Michael(big fan here, of both of them actually).

I hadn't either -- when I first saw it, I spend a good minute or so pondering who it could be. I kept thinking "Dominican.... ANGEL??!? Whaaaa?" Then -- ding! ding! ding! -- Oh yeah! The [i]Angelic[/i] Doctor!

From that moment on, I loved that statue. I've been looking practically everywhere for one!

Which, to be honest, kind of gives the statue more appeal to me...

I'm super cereal about this st.Vincent Ferrer thing; I don't think this is a statue of Aquinas.
