I need the gift of being awesome.

I don't find it amusing that someone edited my post.

It originally stated "I have the gift of being awesome."

I have knowledge and understanding. I decidedly lack wisdom. I've learned this can be an awkward combination...especially since I'm a bit weak in the fear of the Lord department as well. As long as I can learn to stay humble, it will all work out in the end.

Another for wonder and awe here. I can't look at the stars without marveling at how large a universe it is, and that my Savior who knows every star by name and every grain of dust, knows my name and cares about me. I walked through the park earlier and couldn't help but notice the various animals and the plushness of the greenery. :)

I also could use fortitude, but on occasion wonder and awe leads into it. They have before, and it is my fervent prayer that they continue to do so; even if I wish I could have fortitude without needing wonder an awe to support it.

Last year I drew out joy as my fruit of the Holy Spirit and wisdom as (In the monastery a sister made a basket with little pieces of paper with each of the gifts and then another basket with the fruits of the Holy Spirit and then we would draw them at dinner. Last year I got Wisdom as my gift of the Holy Spirit and Joy as my fruit of the Holy Spirit.

This year I did the same thing during my holy hour, except I used my purse. I got charity as my fruit of the Holy Spirit and understanding as my gift!

It's always been interesting to see how I've grown in what I drew. I keep the papers taped to my wall, and I look at it alot and most of the time it's kind of like, I don't really see THAT anywhere in my life. But by the end of the year, I can usually really see it, at least in some way.

It appears as if I have none of the gifts.

Mayabe you're being too judgmental about yourself - ask some other people what gifts they see in you.

Actually, that's not a gift of the Spirit but a fruit of the Spirit ... have you never heard of the Grapes of Wrath?

I'm glad to know somebody has it - I don't, but I need it more and more these days.

I have the gift of explosive fire ball hadoukens
Are you sure those are from the Holy Spirit and not some fictitious (read: sience fiction) spirit? I don't doubt that you have the gift, just trying to verify the source.

Yes, I totally agree. MIKolbe, you've shown you have that gift so many times when we've "talked."

I've felt so useless for so long, I wonder whether I really have any gifts. I hope I do, but I don't want to fool myself, either.
