Fish tanks make fishing a lot easier...

It makes me nervous, because my husband loves fishing, and when he was a little kid, took his fish out to play with them. I have forbidden him to take my fish out. :hehehe:

Does anyone know if all varieties of tetras will school with eachother, or if you need to stick with just one kind of tetra? (i.e. would a glo-light tetra school with cardinal tetra?)

low maintenance = beta fish :)

I'm already getting a tetra, as a refugee from my sister-in-law in NJ, so, right now, a beta is out of the question. I don't know that they'd get along so well.

No, I can't stand those dumb FB games. I have them all blocked from my newsfeed, too. They are so obnoxious!

We had two that both lived about five years... that's got to be like Moses in the desert old for a fish.

Just be very careful when putting your computer into the aquarium as you don't want the fishy sucked into the power supply

Winchester, fishes could not possibly feed themselves, house themselves or interact peacefully without our wise intervention. We need to govern their actions by putting them in aquariums. For their own good.

You, sir, are an oppressor of fishes.

So, we got a few fish yesterday, and one was dead this morning. We took it back, got a new one, and now the new one (that we just added to the tank like half an hour ago) looks a little rough. He looks like he has a messed up fin or something. I guess I'll probably be going back to PetSmart, tomorrow...*sigh*

Did you properly acclimate it? i.e., did you leave it in the plastic bag, and let it float in the tank for an hour or so, then cut the bag and let it in? And are you using chlorinated city water? If so, did you treat it?

Yup! Did everything by the book. Don't know what happened to the first one. The second one is officially dead, but I think that there was something wrong with it before I got it, I just didn't notice until I put it in the tank.
The other two fish are doing well...:idontknow:
