She had the oportunaty to live as a Lady of the Queens court (a pretty good life at the time) butchoose to serve God instead!

photosynthesis
I chose Felicity because it sounded pretty. I was 15 and didn't really know what I was getting into...I thought, hey, felicity sounds nice, i'll choose that name. then when I came back to the church I read up about felicity and descovered that she was a holy Martyr! so even though I didn't really know who she was at the time I now know that she was a very strong woman who never gave up, and I feel really blessed to have her as my patron saint. azaelia
Mine was Philomena (or Filomena, whichever). I guess I chose her because she ahs such a unique name, and she was young and I could relate to that at the time. I should read up on her more. And it turns out one of my ancestors was named Filomena. Creepy... (ppsssstt! I'm not a convert either...well I'm sort of a convert in that it took me a while to fully accept my faith)
ICTHUS
St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, because I am a big fan of their theories on grace, free will, and predestination.
akamarymag
mary magdaline! i chose her im always asking for her intersession. She knew what it was like to be close to Mary and Jesus. She was there with mary when Jesus was on his way to calvery and then at the sight of the crucifixion. She heard Gods call to stop sinning and stayed close to Jesus after that. That takes Guts. when im strugaling to stay close to Jesus,to lazy to pray the rosary or flurting with sin i ask her for a prayer!
Apotheoun
I chose the name Ignatius, because after reading the letters of St. Ignatius of Antioch, I was deeply influenced by his theology. "Persevere to the end in your faith in, and your love for, Jesus Christ. Here is the beginning and the end of life: faith is the beginning, the end is love, and when the two blend perfectly with each other, they are God." BeenaBobba
St. Dominic Savio is my patron saint. I remember thinking that he's cool for being so strong in his faith, even when he was quite young. God bless, Jennifer
